Lynard at one stage set up a company of mages and reseachers. It was called Lyco, but is now commonly known as The Company. He now owns 1/3 of it, with his parents and friends owning the rest.

As these things tend to do, it has become a little of of hand. He is trying to set up a council of mages for the region, to represent all mages regardless of their affiliation.
