[15:18] <Grey> Grey returns the star of blood to the priests of Hades, and in the process discovers that they do not like undead. [16:12] <Grey> Treasure is divvied.

[16:13] <Grey> Treasure is finished being divvied and analysed. [16:15] <Grey> Grey chucks a spack, and storms off. [16:27] <Grey> Zim tries to find Grey, but is unsuccessful.

[16:27] <Grey> Grey contacts Safranna and indicates he will be away for a while. [16:27] <Grey> The party starts investigating getting Ada back. [16:47] <Grey> Lani scries on it, and finds it in the possession of some man on what is presumably one of the upper planes. He claims Ada is his as Ada was discarded, and that it is now rightfully his. [16:48] <Grey> He seems knowledgable about planar travel. [16:50] <Grey> He is from the place Mulch. He is willing to give up Ada free of charge (surprise surprise). [16:56] <Grey> The party decides to investigate the plane before going there.

[16:59] <Grey> Lani learns of Mulch. It is so named since most of the plane is covered with thick growth. Most people there live underground. The humans and dwarves live together, and their enemies are the elves who live in the trees. [17:04] <Grey> The party plane shifts there. [17:05] <Grey> The party (Zim, Tess, Safranna, and Lani) appear in a cave. [17:08] <Grey> They scry on Ada, and find the man sleeping. Lani wakes him up by communicating via her mirror again, and then teleport there. [17:08] <Grey> The party changes their apppearance suitably first. [17:10] <Grey> They quiz the guy on the evil elves, who have various monsters as pets. They live below ground as it is dangerous above ground. [17:15] <Grey> The arty decides to find out how the others are going.

[17:17] <Grey> Lani scries and attempts to contact Roland. [17:21] <Grey> They seem to be going fine. They have almost completed their quest. They will be back soon. [17:23] <Grey> The local party decides to wait for a few days.

[17:36] <Grey> The remainder of the party arrives back. [17:36] <Grey> They did well.
[17:38] <Grey> They found Moulder dwarves, and managed to confirm some things. They were making a present for the wife of a great giant. The present would be able to bind creatures of great knowledge, which could then be called forth to answer questions. Since the dark elves were being a nuisance at the time, they thought they'd bind some dark elves within the ring. [17:39] <Grey> They don't know how it ended up in the king's haord. [17:41] <Grey> Apparently it wasn't just dark elves that attacked. It included things like mind flayers, and the invasion was lead by the creators of the dark elves, or something like that. [17:41] <Grey> They don't know how to use the ring. [17:48] <Grey> They seem to have btained various magic items in the process. [17:55] <Grey> An update occurs.
[18:00] <Grey> The party have a chat about Grey, who still hasn't returned. [18:02] <Grey> They become worried that Grey may do something rash. [18:03] <Grey> They scry on Grey, but fail, but they do scry on Turia. [18:04] <Grey> Lani communicates with Turia using a message via the scrying device. [19:12] <Grey> Turia indicates that she is fine, and has seen Grey recently. [19:13] <Grey> The party seems satisfied.

[19:21] <Grey> Turia has not yet returned. Zim has been making magic items. [19:28] <Grey> The party waits longer.

[19:31] <Grey> On the last day of Zim making items, Grey turns up with Turia, arm in arm. [19:41] <Grey> We chat, then separate: Minora's group will go to Myoshima to help Thora, and we will search for Jotan's. [19:42] <Grey> We, including Turia, teleport to the lak near Lady Gasping's tomb, and head off for the mountains. [20:03] <Grey> Shortly after, Grey reveals that he is alive. And a (weak) priest of Nikhi. [20:04] <Grey> Much discussion ensues.
[20:18] <Grey> Of course, Grey has copped flak for this (particularly from Zim). [20:29] <Tessarael> Tess will be glad Grey is alive again btw [20:30] <Grey> And the bit about Nikhi? :P [20:31] <Tessarael> who Grey worships is up to Grey, there's some moral issues that I've noticed indifference on ... Tess wasn't entirely happy with the attitude about letting the mad vampire leave for example ... anyway Tess will keep an eye on you :p [20:31] <Tessarael> (besides Tess worships an evil deity right? :) [20:31] <Grey> We head into the wilderness. [20:34] <Grey> In the middle of the night, some creatures start trying to sneak up on us. [20:37] <norse_dm> some creatures are sneaking up, Zim wakes the mortals

[20:38] <Grey> Date correction: *** 8/12/1026 [20:38] <Grey> Ghouls attack the party. [20:41] <norse_dm> Grey tries to rebuke the ghouls (the mirror is useful) [20:42] <Tessarael> (moral quandary: should a priest of Nyx destroy undead ... ah one's loyalty is tested ...) [20:43] <Grey> Grey rebukes two of the ghouls. [20:45] <norse_dm> two ghouls cower slowly [20:49] <Tessarael> (on our nature program next week: relocating ghouls to save the farmers ...) [20:50] <Grey> Grey halt undead's another of the ghouls. [20:50] <Grey> Lani enters into melee with another ghoul that is slowly fleeing. [20:53] <Grey> Grey halts it as well.
[20:53] <Grey> Grey rebukes the remaining ghouls. [20:53] <Grey> Grey now has four ghouls worshipping him. [20:54] <norse_dm> Grey tries to tp the ghouls somewhere else [20:55] <norse_dm> they refuse to go
[20:55] <Tessarael> oh Grey please don't kill us, we are but miserable wretches in search of a meal ... and your knees look so tasty [20:55] <norse_dm> Grey lectures the ghouls [20:56] <Tessarael> oh great and evil Grey, do not waste your time destroying us ... just give us your knee caps, just a little bite? [21:06] <Grey> Travelling in hills. We enter a broad river valley with signs of settlement. [21:08] <Grey> We are in trollheim.

[21:10] <Grey> As we get closer to a village, we find that there is no smoke or cattle in evidence.

[21:10] <Grey> We get even closer to a village. [21:11] <Grey> It is deserted, and has been for a long time. [21:11] <Tessarael> cause of abandonment? quickly abandoned, or only valuables taken? [21:11] <Grey> It just looks like people left, many years ago. [21:20] <Grey> We decide to cross to the other side of the river we have come across, and travel further inland following the ridge of a valley. [21:21] <Grey> We travel to the ridge.

[21:21] <Grey> We reach the crest of the hill. Further inland, where the river heads, is grassland. [21:23] <Grey> The grassland is presumably Ethengar. [21:24] <Grey> Lani flies around exploring the area. [21:25] <Grey> Lani finds a massive fortress built into the side of a hill.

[21:27] <Grey> We arrive by foot at the giants fortress - probably stone giants (probably not very friendly) [21:28] <Grey> We wait a ways away, and wave a white flag. [21:29] <Grey> We ask if they know of a Jotan. They do, and they will take us to him. He may even be willing to talk to us.
