<GM>	The chamber appears to be carved from solid rock. Fairly roughly too.
<GM>	Immediately visible, and drawing the eye, is a huge, reddish-black heart. Easily 15' tall and equally wide.

<Kasin>	(automatic reaction :)
<GM>	Not far from it is a column of pure light.
<GM>	(You sense evil.)
<Kasin>	(how much?)
<GM>	(Just evil. No degree.)
<Kasin>	(where from? move to triangulate as necessary)
<GM>	The Heart. Interestingly, you can't DE through the light. In fact if you'r closer to the light than to the Heart you don't detect evil.
<GM>	AD: Don't touch that column. It is my ward against the Heart.
<Kasin>	(hmmmm, interesting she thinks)
<Kasin>	ah
<GM>	(Elenil seems to be vibrating even more as you approach the Heart.)
<GM>	AD gestures to a large wound in the side of the Heart.
<Kasin>	Shall I just move into it?
<GM>	AD: Yes. Please do not draw your weapons or make hostile moves towards me. I will be casting a few defensive spells, just in case you ... fail.
<Kasin>	I am going to be drawing my weapons, but I as I move into the heart
<Kasin>	I'm going to cast a few defensive spells of my own too
<GM>	AD: Very well. However if you turn back towards me with them drawn I will assume that you have turned.
<GM>	AD hasn't closed the lower door, BTW.
*	Kasin  casts protection from evil, resist acid and corrosion, negative plane protection

*	Kasin  draws her swords, and moves into the heart
<GM>	AD casts a spell and several circles of large black out-ward pointing teeth begin to orbit around him.
<GM>	AD casts another spell, with no visible effect.
<GM>	AD casts another spell and his colours fade. He is now all in shades of black and white ... no clear detail visible.
<GM>	AD is casting another spell as you draw your swords and enter the Heart.
<GM>	As you step closer, you suddenly feel the evil from the heart...
*	Kasin  grits her teeth
<GM>	...it is quite tangible, and you actually have to push against it to get to the thing.
<Kasin>	(oh oh!)
<Kasin>	(no protection from evil then!)
<Kasin>	(pauses to think about it)
<GM>	(The heart bleeds on you, for...) :)
<Kasin>	(Imassume it feels like that?)
<GM>	Not really ... just there is a resistance which increases as you approach the Heart.
<GM>	It actually more like you're having more trouble getting your limbs to move than a physical barrier.
<Kasin>	(hmmm, ok. in that case she continues. not much choice really)
<GM>	(Nope.)
<GM>	You enter the Heart.
<GM>	It's big, blackish, and yucky...
<GM>	...and it is beating. SLowly.

<GM>	...two heartbeats. One is deep, echoing through your existance. One is ... inside you.

<GM>	For just a moment, both beat in time... and then they stop.
<Kasin>	(uhoh!)

<Kasin>	(holds her breath, if she could)

<GM>	You feel pain ... but then heartbeats return. Both of them. And now you can see a faint reddish blur ... you seem to be slowly returning to yourself.
<GM>	You sense desperation ... and a wave of evil sweeps over you, threatening to drown your sanity and wash your mind away.
*	Kasin  grins in exultation, she is almost there!
<GM>	An evil so strong that no mortal could possibly resist it washes through you...
<GM>	...and you're mortal...
<Kasin>	(uhoh!)
<Kasin>	(given it's dark, she doesn't even try prayin)
<GM>	...but even as you feel the tide tearing through you, a memory surfaces ... evil almost like the one you feel now... 
<GM>	...evil that you defeated int he end ... the Hand...
<GM>	...and somehow the tide is gone. You are standing outside of the Heart.
*	Kasin  blinks
<GM>	AD is watching you, hands raised...
*	Kasin  glances at her swords. are they clean?
<GM>	Yes.

<GM>	AD relaxes.

<GM>	AD: Well done. I thought you gone.

<GM>	AD nods mutely, and the colours return to his form. The whirling teeth disappear.

<Kasin>	Not really. I was hoping for a clue on how to destroy it
<GM>	AD: Save that for another day, if you would. We should go to your companions. They will be worried.
<Kasin>	but I'm satisfied to have survived
